Symptoms I downloaded the Adobe Creative Cloud app and tried to install the appropriate applications like Adobe PhotoShop but I always get the following error: 'Download Error' I already have an account for Adobe Creative Cloud and everything works fine in Mac OS X. Hi there, this is my last option so hoping someone can help. I have Adobe CS5 and I cannot get it to install on my mac. I have used a trial before but now cannot get any version of any adobe program to install. When the installer starts up, it gets about 3/4 of the way and then I get the following: 'Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.' I have done this and it detects that there are no problems. I have since used the Adobe clean up app, ensured there are no left over files from any adobe program remaining and even backed up the entire machine and reinstalled OS Lion (as I thought it was something to do with the ditto command being corrupt - it doesn't seem to be) but nothing works. It is is definitely an adobe related issue and not a fault with the disk as I have tried the CS6 trial but it does the same as the full copy of CS5. If anyone has any ideas then that would be hugely appreciated as I am beyond frustrated and have spent hours reading forums and trying different approaches. What Is A Visual Effects Software?
